What is Influenza (also called Flu)?

The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death.

The CAPSTONE-1 clinical research study will try to find out if an investigational drug can speed up the recovery of people with the flu.

Those taking part must:

***Have had the flu symptoms

(such as fever, aches, pains, couch, sore throat)

for less than 48 hours
***Be 18 to 64 years old
***Be otherwise healthy

Taking part in the study means visiting a clinic between 7-9 times for health checks. These check ups, along with the study-related medication, will be provided at no additional cost. You do not need insurance and Compensation$$$ for time and travel may be provided.

Because you need to enroll in the study within 48 hours of becoming ill, it is important to get in touch as soon as possible after the symptoms appear.
